As it turns out, I don’t need crystals. Or a pendulum. What I needed was a fun-filled day at the lake with a gaggle of girls.
Seriously, Beth is the best. captain. ever.
It was definitely a full-day experience. I left the house to pick Nad up at 9:00, and then we had to meet Beth in Alpharetta at 9:45. Five of us packed into her Civic and drove ass-far to where her parents live in Hall County, where we met two more girls and picked up some rafts.
Onward (finally) to the lake! There were only 7 of us, but we were ready for the zombie apocalypse. I think everyone brought food, and two girls brought daiquiris and a cooler full of beer, so we were set. I think we spent a good 5 or 6 hours on the lake (hence why my shoulders and sides are now “feeling the burn”). All in all, a great pick-me-up that I so desperately needed.
Yesterday I played catch-up since I was at the lake all day Saturday. Errands, (trying) to clean the house, and going with Oscar to buy his tux. 🙂 He looks so dashing. I love that he loves to look nice, and when he does, he reeeaaaally does.

This weekend – One of my favorite people of ALL TIME is coming into town. My best friend since the 7th grade when we listened to Hanson and watched Billy Madison over and over again. It’s been over a year since I’ve seen her, and she’s coming in for my bridal (lingerie!) shower this Saturday! So many people I love in one room! How will I stand it??
I’ll just have to update all the sexy details next week. 🙂
