Wow. So, being able to see is something all you normal 20/20’s take for granted. Seriously.
It’s been a day and a half with my new right eye and I’m just amazed.
I’m not hunched over at my desk at work trying to see the tiny print on my screen.
I’m a little less nervous about driving in the rain and at night.
Colors are brighter.
I can actually read street signs.
I can read the clock next to my bed.
These and many more are just a few of the things that I couldn’t do on Tuesday, or at any point in my life, ever.

Lots of things have happened since I wrote last.
I got a speeding ticket on the way to Oscar’s last Friday. It really sucked, because this would make number three, and it’s gonna make my insurance skyrocket. I know this. However, I didn’t know the speed limit was 55 where I was, and I was thinking it was 65. I was going 80. The cop that pulled me over was actually pretty nice, and even said something to the effect of, “I really wish I could give you a warning, but the speed is too high…” Sonofabitch.
Oscar got sick.
And then got sick again. Poor thing had a fever this morning, I think. And every tome he coughs his entire body shakes. Ick.
I had my eye surgery! Which I’ll devote an entire entry to, because summing it up here just isn’t enough.
The same police officer came by my apartment Wednesday night looking for me, because he’d forgotten to get my tag number, and he’d gotten in trouble. My roommate tried calling me, but to no avail. She took his number and told him I’d call him. Which I did. And I still haven’t gotten a call back. He was really young, and apparently new on the force. A pretty nice-looking policeman if I do say so myself. Of course, at the time I wasn’t thinking that, I thought, “ah crap, my insurance is gonna skyrocket…”
Anyway.
I found a possibility for my girls’ wedding shoes. Patent brown peep toes, anyone? So hot.
And lastly, we’re celebrating for my roommate tonight because she got a new job offer! She’s finally getting the recognition she deserves, and it’s about bloody time. So, I guess we’ll go out tonight and celebrate my new sight and her new opportunity! Whee!
