An Announcement:

Nov 19, 2009 | entrepreneurial endeavors, work

Oh hi, Internet.  Thanks for waiting ever-so-patiently as I travel the country and sort my life out.

This post isn’t going to be about my trip to San Fran, although it was fabulous and wonderful and I had the best tourguide I could have ever asked for, seriously.  Connie seems like she’s at home there, and she & Raj just welcomed a new pup into their home!  I can’t wait to go back and visit, maybe next spring or summer when it’s warm(er).

Anyway, moving on. This post is about something else entirely.

I have taken on a new business venture.  This is something  I considered back in April when I was still working my full-time 9-5, and at that point, I was working part-time for Connie and decided to hold off on the idea and not spread myself too thin with new projects.

Well, a few weeks ago, I decided that I needed to take a look at this opportunity again, because what do I have right now aside from tons of spare time?

I’m happy (and a little nervous) to announce that I am now a Pure Romance consultant!  “What is that exactly?“, you might be asking.  (Or, you know EXACTLY what it is and you’re either weirded out or super excited).  In the next few weeks, I will be offering in-home parties for adult women only and offer a sophisticated line of educational books, sensual lotions, bath & beauty products, exciting bedroom accessories and a helluva lot more.

WHY?

1.) Because I need something to do and Literally Efficient is a little, well, slow.
2.) I can still stay on track to get certified to teach, and once I do start to teach, I can still sell on the side if I choose to.
3.) It allows me to maintain the schedule I’ve become accustomed to the past few months, and will let me continue that flexibility into starting a family.
4.) As far as I can tell, it’s a great company to work for, encouraging education as well as entertainment.
5.) Most of all, I need a little fun, and I think I’ll get plenty of that.

Hopefully, you haven’t run away screaming, but if so, it’s totally cool, and maybe we were never meant to hang out.  But, if you’re still here, thanks a bunch, and look for updates on Facebook and (ladies) an email invitation to my official “coming out” party in a few weeks.

  1. That’s awesome! Congratulations and best of luck on your new venture! (And I wish we lived closer so I could attend one of your parties!)

  2. Whatever you do, dont post it on your Facebook once you get hired! LOL Good Luck and I will let you know if I ever get some girlfriends who have money!) Ashley G.

  3. Thanks, ladies. I’m a little apprehensive about the sales aspect, but I think that’s just because I’ve never done it before. I’m keeping my fingers crossed & hope that it turns out to be at least something fun to do part-time. 🙂
